NZ 2010 World Qulaifier

This is it. Oceania is allotted 0.5 places at the 2010 world cup. Half a place. Hahaha, I can hear you guys now – “but TJ, that makes no sense” haha. Your right! It doesn’t. But it sort of does - it means the winner of the Oceania conference (NZ already wrapped this shit ages ago) play the 5th placed Asian team (looks like it will probably be Saudi Arabia, Bahrain or Iran) in home and away fixtures to determine who will go to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The first game will be at the Asian side on October 10th, with the return leg in New Zealand on November 14th- probably in Wellington or Auckland, and you, as a New Zealander, should be there! It’ll be a thoroughly fantastic evening; you could witness History if New Zealand can qualify for the finals for the first time in 28 years! Just imagine it – all white lose the away leg 1- 0. It’s nil all in the return leg, 88th minute, you’re in the stands off your face having an awesome time barracking for the team. Ryan Nelsen breaks out from his own half; Leo Bertos makes an incisive run up the left, crosses it for Smeltz and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOALLLLLLLL NZ scores, its 1-1 and were going to over time. No-one can separate the sides; it’s going to a shoot-out. NZ shooting out for a place at the world cup, in front of their home crowd -calling the bastards home , you want to be there, you could be there, you should be there to listen to the echoes of Sumner and Rufer, and all the fine men of the 1982 All Whites, as we qualify again. You owe to yourselves to be there, as New Zealanders.
